I haven’t had a chance to dig in too deep, but I thought I should, at least, mention that  cooperbikes.com is finally up. Now, I just need a moment to check them out.

First thoughts: I see that the pricing is in british pounds, so, I wonder if they’re available in the states yet. Also, although I’m not the best a converting the price to US dollars, they do seem a bit pricey. Again, I haven’t been able to dig too deep so I can’t really comment on their perceived value. Stay tuned for details.

Update:
– They are currently appointing dealers worldwide.
– Prices look like they’re starting at $940 US dollars (converted).
– They are taking pre-orders for January 2010 delivery.

  1. Greetings:

Excellent post in very nice looking bikes. I’m eager to see their distribution strategy for this side of the pond- perhaps the price point will be much more friendly. Keep us posted on any U.S.A. CopperBikes info you find.

    cheers

    • Thanks, Tony. I’ll do my best to keep you posted. I’m pretty interested in the US pricing as well.

So far, to me, it seems high. I love the Cooper design, but the name doesn’t have as much local (US) caché as it does in the UK. Hopefully, that’ll work to our advantage – probably not.
