There is a fun little ramp on one of the trails in my town. If you’re not ready for it, the curves might catch you off guard.
It makes me happy to see so many skid marks on this ramp because I can see that more riders are taking advantage of the local trail system.

Having been unceremoniously dumped by a wet wooden bridge deck, I tend to look at such decks less positiviely. They get like ice when they’ve got a couple of years age on them and they get wet. Don’t get hurt…

These are actually not made of wood, but they are as slippery when wet.

I’m not really a fan of this ramp either. The weird angles of the railing and the rather slippery “Trex” decking (i.e., the fake wood) make me question its safety. I think some adhesive texture (think skateboard deck tape) would help out a lot.
