Pics From The 75208 Be My Velontine Ride
Yesterday, I decided to join the cycling group, 75208 on their Be My Velontine Ride through Dallas. 75208 usually holds weekly rides every Sunday, as well as the occasional critical mass. Most of the members can be seen on many of the other local rides, including the ones hosted by Bike Friendly Oak Cliff.
Whether it’s timing, convenience or just simply not seeing myself mixing it up with the cool urban crowd, I’ve never made it to any of the 75208 rides. It was a beautiful day, so I couldn’t resist sharing a ride with some really great and friendly people.
The group ended up being somewhere between 60-80 riders. I was told that this was larger than their typical size. Leaders, Andee Pittman and Colin Clarke took us from Main Street Garden, through a calm, low-traffic downtown Dallas. We then headed over to Davis in Oak Cliff to enjoy some tasty BBQ at a really cool new place called Luckie’s Smokehouse. After that, the group headed back towards Dallas and their next destination, the Amsterdam Bar. Needing to get back to the house, I broke off from the group when we passed through downtown.
Here are some pics from the ride. Click here to see more.
Those are great pictures, thanks for sharing. I was on that ride as well, it was a lot of fun and great to meet so many bicycle enthusiasts. Thanks for the comments on the site!
