You Have To Rent/Own Family Guy: It’s A Trap

I meant to post this a while ago, but I completely forgot. You’ll have to forgive me if my geeky side is showing through on this post, but I had to share. Also, since Lucas is releasing his Star Wars series on Blu-ray this week, it’s sort of relevant.

One of my favorite late-night televisions shows is Family Guy. Sure it crosses the line many, many times, but I really enjoy some of the show’s wit as well as the pop-culture references pulled from my generation. A great example of that is their parody of the original Star Wars trilogy. It started with Blue Harvest, their version of A New Hope. Then came Something, Something, Something Dark Side, which was their version of Empire Strikes Back. The last of the series, It’s A Trap – their version of Return Of The Jedi, was released this year.

Why am I writing about this on a bike blog?

Because, the famous speeder bike chase scene that took place through the forest of Endor in Return Of The Jedi, was remade as a chase scene on bicycles in It’s A Trap. So, if you are a fan of Star Wars, Family Guy and bicycles, this is a must see movie.

  1. This was the weakest of the FG Star Wars episodes but this chase sequence is excellent.

  3. That scene was fun. It was just on last week, first time I had seen it.
