House Industries Designed Giro Helmet And Gloves
I love when two of my favorite worlds collide. This time, my love for cool graphic design merges with my enthusiasm for biking.
You don’t have to be a graphic designer, to be a fan of the font design shop called House Industries. Started in 1993, House is “Known throughout the world as a prolific type foundry, House Industries has made a considerable impact on the world of design. House Industries fonts scream from billboards, wish happy whatever from tens of thousands of greeting cards, serve as the basis for consumer product logos and add elements of style to a wide range of mainstream media.” (click here to read more).
House is also notorious for creating fantastic prints, books, illustrations and objects of art. They’ve also collaborated with a few third party companies to produce some great furniture, consumer goods, and clothing.
Recently, House has partnered up with Giro to make some really great looking helmets and gloves. Giro’s new urban/suburban Reverb helmet is now styled with two different patterns developed by House, using their Photo-Lettering font West Banjo. To compliment their new helmet designs, they’ve also introduced a matching pair of Gilman Gloves. Read more about it here and here.
