New VP-001 Pedals - BLACK

About a year and a half ago, I was the fortunate Twitter winner of a pair of VP Components, VP-001 pedals. Here is my review of the pedals, where you’ll read that I was quite impressed with them. So impressed, that I wanted to get another pair for my other bike.

Unfortunately, they are hard to find at any of my local bike shops. Although not very expensive, they’re not on the cheap side either. I would, however, categorize them as a good value – well worth the price you’d pay. Alas, since my disposable bike funds have been pretty limited, they’ve remained on my Amazon wish list for several months.

With a recent gift card and an AmazonLocal deal, I was able to get them within the range of my budget. I opted for a pair in black to go with my street ready Redline Monocog. As with my other pair, I am extremely impressed with the performance of the new VP-001 pedals. Their light, low profile, yet wide surface is rock solid with plenty of grip, giving me confidence in each efficient turn of the crank.

If you are looking for a great platform pedal to kick around, I would highly recommend getting a pair of the VP Components, VP-001‘s.
