DFW February Bike Events

There’s lots of DFW biking going on in February. Besides the weekly rides from 75208DCM and FMD, there will be some great events to check out:

February 7:
3rd Annual Great Southwest Bike Swap: If you happen to be in Cowtown between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm at the Tarrant County Resource Connection (Building 2300), come check out some cool bike sales and swopping.

Mardi Gras Parade Ride: ride with Bike Friendly Oak Cliff on a 1.2-mile parade ride, traveling down North Bishop Ave. and through the Bishop Arts District. This will go from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.

February 14:
Love Your Lane | Valentine’s Day Ride: again, Bike Friendly Oak Cliff will meet up at Main Street Garden Park at 2 p.m., cruise through downtown to Cedar Springs, down Turtle Creek Blvd., and over to Uptown where they’ll make a stop at The Ginger Man before heading back to our nice new park downtown.

Raffle Ramble:
Bike Friendly Richardson is hosting a fun little ride it north DFW. Come out to Richardson to support a good cause and win some cool prizes. Details to come very soon. Until then, you can save the date!! Sign up early for the raffle and save.

November Events – DFW

Let’s start with tonight: Lone Star Goldsprints, Stationary Bike Race – benefiting the family of William Busch. Head on out to Eno’s Pizzeria in the Bishop Art’s District at 7:00 pm.

There are also a couple of Cyclecross event going on in Fort Worth this weekend. I don’t typically promote racing events, but my blog friend SteveA with DFW Point0-To-Point will be participating today. Go here and here for info.

On Monday, November 9, Oak Cliff Bicycle Company is hosting another Bike Polo Night. The fun goes from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at Tyler and Seventh Street.

On Saturday, November 21 Transit Bicycle Company and the 64 Art Collective will be screening The Revival. The show begins at 5:00 pm at their shop – 3839 McKinney Ave in Dallas.

Finally, dust off your best tweed. Bike Friendly Oak Cliff presents its first Tweed Ride on Sunday, November 22 at 3:30 pm. The ride starts at the Grassy Knoll in Dallas.
