Life gets in the way of life.
The irony of my situation is that this blog has led me to be more active in my local bike community. Being more active has led me to be more involved. Being more involved eventually led me to not having enough time to post to this blog.
Basically, 2016 will mostly be a wash with posts. I am making a commitment, to myself, to start posting again.
Let’s start with something fun. A few years ago, I thought it would be funny to ‘Photoshop’ my head/face onto old bicycle images and artifacts, and post them as my Facebook profile pictures. I am currently revisiting them.
I decided to pull them all together and share them here. For reference, I’ve composited them with the original shot. I’m such a tool.
One Of My Pics In Momentum Magazine
I have a love/hate relationship with Flickr. Hate, mostly because of the new site design – which is far less intuitive. Love, because it’s great for sharing and getting your images out there.
One great example is getting another pic of mine published in the May/June 2014 issue of Momentum Magazine:
Of course, I took that pic to help promote Bikes May Use Full Lane lapel pin sales. Here is the original:
Happy Bicycle Halloween
I just wanted to take a moment and wish everybody a safe, fun and happy halloween. To get in the spirit of the holiday, I thought it would be fun to share a few, festive pics that I’ve run across.
If you like any of these shots, please feel free to click on them and leave a comment on their Flickr page.

Hump Day Pics Of The Week – 3
Time for the next installment of the Hump Day Pic Of The Week. Once again, I want to thank ALL the contributors to the Suburban Assault Flickr Pool. There have been some new folks posting in the pool lately, and I hope they stick around.
As usual, I had an EXTREMELY DIFFICULT time narrowing down my selections this week. I hope you enjoy this set and check back each week to see what shots get picked. Be sure to check out the Flickr page to see all the awesome bike shots shared by our extremely talented contributors.
Hump Day Pics Of The Week – 2
Time for another installment of the Suburban Assault Hump Day Pic Of The Week. This time, I pulled a couple from a few weeks back. I’ve seen some great shots in the Flickr pool that I don’t want to miss- so keep an eye out for some classic shots during the next few weeks.
BTW, I’ve had my eye on a few that I want to feature, but in an attempt to link the pics, I got the ‘spaceball’ of denial. If you want your pic featured, you might want to turn this security setting off. I understand if you don’t.
Enjoy:
Xander N’Dante is a great contact from Toronto with some of the coolest bike shots. Click here to check out his website.
CharleyK is one of those contacts that doesn’t reveal much of himself. He makes some great photos.
Alan over at EcoVelo never posts a bad shot. Along with the great photos, EcoVelo is an amazing site with a wonderful lineup of bikes. If you don’t already follow their site, you should.
